Commensalism

Commensalism is relationship between two organisms in which one organism benefits without affecting the other. Some examples include barnacles on rocks or shells and moss on trees. Moss on trees grows on the trunks or branches. The mosses receive the light they need as well as nutrients that run down along the tree. As long as these plants do not grow too heavy, the tree is not affected.
